Chic Vintage Dessert Table

This week, I’m posting a dessert table I did for a birthday party held at the Huckleberry Fine Arts Gallery in Rockville, MD. Since the celebrant is very artsy and chic, I decided to go for a vintage look with some elements of fashion/make-up. The location definitely lent itself to this theme, as the numerous beautiful frames on the walls made the perfect backdrop for the table. Special thanks to AmailaPhotos for capturing these awesome images. Enjoy viewing!

Turquoise/Pink Lace Dessert Table

Hello everyone, so it’s seems like it’s been a while since my last blog. The last few weeks have been pretty busy, but I’ll be posting the cakes and dessert tables I’ve been working on over the next few weeks. I did this dessert table a few weeks ago for a set of twins celebrating their birthday. The event was at St. Gregory Hotel DC with an elegant and classy theme. The table included 2 cakes, cupcakes bouquet, strawberry mousse with an ombre effect, candy-coated pretzels, cheesecakes in jars, cakepops, and french macaroons. Enjoy viewing!

Havilah - LOVE the lace and pearl details. How old did the twins turn? Seems like a grown up affair.

Diwura - Thank you Havilah. Yes, it was a grown up affair. They turned 30!

Cheli - This is so “Marie Antoinette” (The movie). I love it :-) Very inspirational.

Rosette/Lace Dessert Table

I designed this dessert table to celebrate a lovely couple’s formal introduction. Since the bride-to-be had such a lovely color combo  (turquoise and coral), I knew I needed to make the table elegant and beautiful enough to bring out those colors.  I decided to go with a rosette table linen, and a lot of flowers incorporated, as seen on the cake, cupcakes, and brownie pops. I also incorporated lace and added some ‘bling’ to the food labels and lace bows for a little extra elegance. The table had a wide assortment of desserts, all freshly made in my kitchen…time-consuming, but it was most definitely worth every minute I put into it.

Special thanks to Wale Ariztos for capturing these beautiful images!

‘HOT’ Red and Black Bridal Shower Dessert Table

Happy new month to everyone! I’m elated to be launching the beautiful month of May with this dessert table I did for a super hot, sexy, and elegant bridal shower I did over the weekend. The colors were obviously red and black which I love, love, love! The room was beautifully decorated and the dim lighting added to the romantic feel. I tried to coordinate all the desserts to match the colors and theme, including the strawberry mousse with the hanging chocolate heart (my personal favorite). Special thanks to my Hubby/Photographer Dotun Ayodeji for capturing these beautiful images! Enjoy viewing!

Havilah - LOVELY! Bold and rich. Love the black bows at the tip of the cake pops. Delicate and Elegant. Reminds me of pretty honeymoon lingerie. Welldone.

Diwura - Thank you Havilah!

Debbie - *swoon* is all I can muster up the energy to say 😉

Toosin - Very strong, rich, and exotic. Wickedly romantic !!!

Xtian Grey would have paid anything for such a setting for Ms. Steele.

Well done Sis…

Alfreda Slaughter - what you have under the cake to give it some height.
